Pat Eckert Joins the Jury for the Global Water Drinks Awards 2025 in Budapest

I am honored to share some exciting news: this November, I will join the distinguished panel of judges for the Global Water Drinks Awards 2025 in Budapest, Hungary. Organized by Zenith Global, these awards are among the most prestigious in the beverage industry, celebrating innovation, quality, and excellence in water and functional drinks worldwide.

As a certified water sommelier, my passion lies in exploring and evaluating the sensory, cultural, and sustainable aspects of water. Over the years, I have had the privilege of co-hosting the Fine Water Summit, judging at the Taste Awards in Athens and San Sebastián, and working closely with premium water brands and gastronomy at the highest level. Being invited to contribute my expertise to the Global Water Drinks Awards is both an honor and a responsibility I take very seriously.

The awards bring together leading brands, producers, and innovators from across the globe, recognizing achievements in categories ranging from taste and design to sustainability and marketing. My role as a juror will be to evaluate entries with a critical yet appreciative eye, focusing not only on taste and presentation, but also on authenticity, story, and environmental responsibility.

Budapest, with its rich spa culture and historic connection to water, offers the perfect setting for this celebration of our planet’s most essential resource. I look forward to meeting fellow industry leaders, discovering new and remarkable waters, and contributing to the recognition of those pushing boundaries in the world of water.

Stay tuned for updates as we approach this exciting event – and join me in celebrating the incredible diversity, creativity, and quality that define today’s global water industry.
