If you are looking for something special, you will find it in Parchim: what once fell as precipitation over the expanses of Mecklenburg was filtered by nature over centuries through earth, coal and rock to create a pure and crystal-clear liquid of astonishing mineralization and quality. MINUS 181 rests and matures in the deep rock of a landscape formed during the Ice Age, trapped under pressure between two impermeable layers of clay.

In 2011, it was tapped into by a borehole in the town of Parchim. Here, surrounded by extensive forests and a clear, northern German sky, the water emerges naturally due to the artesian pressure and is bottled untreated in glass bottles in a small factory directly above the well. Last but not least, the careful handling of this precious product gives MINUS 181 its unique quality.
The water from the depths is of exceptional quality, valuable minerals are balanced and the slightly alkaline pH value of 7.36 makes the hearts of water connoisseurs beat faster.
It meets the highest standards and ensures the right balance between calm and excitement in everyday life – just like the artesian well from which it is extracted.

The design

If uniqueness is just exclusive enough, then MINUS 181 is the right choice. Resting in elegant designer bottles, the water waits for that special moment. In the strikingly designed glasses, MINUS 181 unfolds its pleasant taste and caresses the palate unobtrusively and velvety softly. The glass bottle with Vinolok glass closure looks elegant, and its minimalist design makes it a visual eye-catcher on any table. With the bottling in a special size of 681 milliliters, the bottle dares to have another exquisite special feature.

In cooperation with the Austrian glass manufacturer Riedel, a glass shape was developed that optimally conveys the properties of the water. The elegantly curved water glass bears the MINUS 181 logo and can maintain the temperature in the glass for longer.

The taste

The artesian spring, combined with the balanced mineralization, makes MINUS 181 a special water for the discerning connoisseur. It sets new standards and is an indispensable accompaniment to exquisite food and wine, without changing them in any way.

Selected top restaurants and hotels in northern Germany have been offering MINUS 181 on their menus since June 2018.

In the future, Minus 181 will be found in luxury hotels, enjoyed in Michelin-star restaurants as a water and food pairing, or discovered when purchasing a luxury car or a luxurious yacht.

It is highly likely that we will see the perfectly shaped glass bottle with the stylish Riedel glass as the winner of a design award at some point.
