Evian's designer editions have been launched regularly since the 1992 Olympic Games. Each year a different fashion designer designs the Evian bottle of the year. This time the American designer Diane von Fürstenberg has the pleasure of doing so. Christian Lacroix, Jean Paul Gaultier, Paul Smith, Issey Miyake and André Courrèges have already been able to design the bottle.

The message has always remained the same: "Youth is not a question of age, it is a question of attitude." Who would be better suited to this than the child-at-heart Diane von Fürstenberg? DvF's motto is "Love is Life" and that is exactly what she has transferred to the bottle. The handwritten mantra "Water is life is love is life is water is..." can be read on the DvF design edition. Below that is the obligatory Heart DvF logo.

By choosing Diane von Fürstenberg, Evian has created two innovations: DvF is the first woman to design an annual bottle and also the first American. Another innovation is the closure: instead of a crown cap, as in previous collections, the 2013 annual bottle has a screw cap. DvF was excited about this offer "because I have always loved the Evian brand. For me, drinking water is one of the most important things we can do to love ourselves. Love is life. For me, it's about living life to the fullest and I am very proud to work with Evian and spread this important message around the world."

Diane von Fürstenberg's first appearance in the fashion world was in 1972. Just two years later, she designed the legendary wrap dress. Her breakthrough came with the reissue of the wrap dress in 1974. Today, the luxury and lifestyle brand DvF is one of the most respected and renowned in the world. This earned her the presidency of the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Fürstenberg is also involved in and outside the fashion world. In 2010, for example, she founded the DvF Award, which honors women in management positions for their courage and strength. She was also a co-developer of the Design Piracy Prohibition Act, which protects designers from attempts at plagiarism.

The spring is surrounded by a 70,000 hectare nature reserve and no external influences can distort the purity of Evian.
