Magnificat Azores Water

Artesian volcanic water from the Azores.

Premium water | FINE WATER from Portugal

The Azores archipelago is sheltered far out in the North Atlantic and well isolated from any man-made environmental influences. Magnificat's spring is located on the island of St. Miguel in a unique aquifer deep in the interior and around the Furnas volcanic complex of 6 volcanoes in the east of the island. An immense volume of naturally purified still and sparkling water is preserved and protected from all planetary pollution.

Magnificat means something like "My soul magnifies the Lord" in Latin and has its origins in the 18th century. The name was deliberately chosen to baptize the artesian water that bubbles up naturally from the dormant Furnas volcano.

The philosophy:

Magnificat is a real gift from nature and it demands respect and conservation. What Renova does as a producer of Magnificat, they do successfully and well. A natural water, protected for thousands of years, without sterilization, without additives.

Magnificat's identity is closely linked to its source, the Furnas volcano in the Azores.

The water:

Magnificat springs from beneath the volcano at a depth of almost 90 metres and is naturally lightly carbonated at a temperature of 6-8 ° C. This process, which is completely natural and stable all year round, produces ultra-smooth and persistent fine carbon dioxide bubbles.

For a naturally carbonated water, it is also a very light and almost sulfate-free water, with only 241 mg/L TDS/Total Mineral Residue. More than a third of its mineralization is naturally dissolved silica (silicon dioxide), a compound that has been scientifically proven to be extremely beneficial for health on many levels, especially for the regeneration of human tissue walls such as the brain, heart, liver, arteries, cartilage and bones. One of the few ways for the human body to absorb silica is through natural water dissolution.

A nitrate-free water with a special silica content. Silica reduces the development of dementia, it keeps nails, teeth, hair & skin healthy and fresh.

The water is filtered through various layers of volcanic rock and "sees" the light of day for the first time in thousands of years when it is bottled at the spring. There are around 40 other springs in the surrounding area, an amazing number of underground reservoirs, as well as several calderas, hot water springs with temperatures ranging from 40°C to 100°C.

The Water Sommelier Union:

A cloud of fine bubbles flows through the glass to the surface, where most of the bubbles dissolve, leaving some behind like silver pearls.

Magnificat hits the lips with a very soft and mild, almost sweet character and a clear and fresh impression. The natural carbonation quickly shows itself as a soft and creamy sparkle that coats the tongue.

In the aftertaste it leaves a refreshing and lively mouthfeel for the discerning palate with its fine sparkling acidity and a slightly dry finish.

The ideal drinking temperature is 14/15°C.

Excellent:
