ISBRE - purity

ISBRE water comes from the pristine glaciers of Norway and is the only water with a quality of 4-6 TDS (mg/L total mineralization) that is unique in the world. ISBRE is extremely popular in many parts of the world, but is relatively unknown in Europe.

A small, unassuming mountain lake in the mountains of Norway, the Hardanger Fjord near the town of Osa. Isbre is a glacial spring water and springs from a glacial-fluvial aquifer that was originally formed about 10,000 years ago where two glacially fed rivers flowed into the fjord at the end of the Pleistocene Ice Age. These rivers still exist in the region today and continue to drain meltwater from the remaining nearby mountain glaciers. It is probably the naturally purest water on earth and has a pleasantly neutral taste and contains significantly fewer minerals than all other mineral waters. It is light and pleasant to drink and has a distinctive taste, clear, fresh, and a little metallic to bitter in the aftertaste.

ISBRE is sourced from the fjord's aquifer and is piped through fractures in the high-grade metamorphic rocks that run through the 1500 meter high mountains that surround the fjord. The cold ambient temperatures of western Norway limit the chemical activity that would dissolve these hard silicate rocks. The result is a remarkably pure water with those exceptionally low mineralization levels, perhaps the lowest mineralization of any natural bottled water. This means that the levels of salt, minerals and metal compounds are incredibly low to non-existent. For you, this means you are getting the healthiest, purest water you can buy.

Enjoy the purity and quality of Isbre water and experience the beauty of Norway!
