Nature's most perfect water

AQUA Carpatica comes from springs deep in the Carpathian Mountains, an ancient land, and is the only nitrate-free natural mineral water on earth.

Where time seems to stand still and only the untouched beauty of nature exists. Purity reigns in Europe's last wild forest. Romania's Carpathian Mountains are a range of majestic mountains that stretch for 1,000 miles through Central Europe, untouched by civilization, agriculture and industry. It is like a time when chemicals, fertilizers, CFCs and other contaminants did not exist.

The history:
The first mention of the mineral water was made in 1410 in a donation document from the then Moldavian king Alexander the Good (1399-1431). Emperor Franz Joseph I of the Austro-Hungarian Empire wrote about the water in his memoirs: "It is an iron-rich spring with therapeutic effects and is even valued by the Moldovans. It is the best mineral water spring in the region."

The source:
The source of the still AQUA Carpatica is located in Vatra Dornei, in the Calimani Mountains, and is the result of similar geological phenomena, consisting of huge sponge-like rock formations rich in magnesium and calcium carbonate. It has been found that the underground path of the still water takes approximately 14 years for natural filtration. The still mineral water is extracted close to the surface using the latest environmentally friendly technology. The Băjenaru Aquifer, the actual source, is located deep in the forest, far from any human activity.

At AQUA Carpatica, purity and taste go hand in hand. Millions of years of volcanic activity have filtered impurities at the source, giving the water its incomparable taste. The spring water is responsibly harvested to naturally preserve its ideal mineral content, balanced pH and incomparably pure taste.

Excellent:
The brand has been awarded numerous prestigious prizes: Grand Prix Expo for Table Water in China (2013), Grand Effie in Romania (2015), Fibra Awards' Campaign of the Year (2016), the prestigious Cannes Lions (2016) and the White Pencil Award at D&AD New York (2016).

Aqua Carpatica is a member of the Fine Water Society.

Features that convince:

  • Naturally nitrate-free (as NO3-N per serving) - ideal for newborns (no cooking required), small children and expectant mothers
  • Naturally sodium-free - recommended for people with high blood pressure or a low-sodium diet
  • Naturally alkaline: pH 8.2
  • Low mineral content - ideal for baby food, infants and daily fluid intake
  • Natural electrolytes - improve hydration
  • Smooth, clean taste, no aftertaste.

About water sommelier Pat Eckert

Water is something we all encounter every day, yet it's also so special. Much like a fine wine, water can only reach its full potential after careful selection.

Since 2010, Pat has been deeply involved with water. In 2022, he completed his training as a certified water sommelier and participated in the BLED Water Festival. Pat has organized numerous water tastings in Europe and the UK and founded his own fine water brand, "Aqa Finelli," in 2023. As a water sommelier, Pat advises hotels and restaurants on optimal water selection and accompanying water menus. A water tasting is an exceptional experience that can be enjoyed in a small group setting or a more formal venue. Pat creates an unforgettable atmosphere, combined with engaging conversation.

Since 2024, Pat has been the official water sommelier for the Selters brand and is working on opening his water museum, which will house the world's largest collection of water bottles. His work has been recognized in international media and TV programs such as ABC and Pro7 Galileo. Currently, he is focusing, among other things, on optimizing the logistics and distribution of Fine Waters.
