The Flensburg Glacier Spring.

Our brewing water was created in the last ice age 10,000 years ago, when Scandinavian glaciers covered all of northern Germany. When they melted, they left behind the deep layers of rock beneath the brewery site, which have protected the crystal-clear water from environmental influences for several thousand years. From the two wells, which are up to 240 meters deep and are entered in the well register under the names Flensburger Gletscherquelle 1 and Flensburger Gletscherquelle 2, the water gushes up artesian, i.e. under its own power.

As "natural mineral water", the water from the Flensburg glacier spring naturally meets the strictest requirements of the German Mineral Water Ordinance.

It is obvious that this delicious water is not only used to brew beer in Flensburg, but that some of it is filled into swing top bottles to quench the thirst of a growing number of followers.

Since 1888 the plop' from Flensburg has been part of good form. But hardly anyone knows how much technology is hidden behind it. In the last ten years alone, we have invested more than 50 million euros in product innovations and systems at the Flensburg brewery. Environmental protection is also the focus of all our activities. This is also the case with our new clip closure, which has reached a top level in the course of our ever-increasing quality requirements.

The Sound of the North.

The promising sound of the Flensburg swing top creates anticipation for a delicious Flens in the brains of millions of FLENS drinkers worldwide. This is scientifically proven and can probably be confirmed by every FLENS friend. It is also no wonder that a Flens pops so uniquely. It is the composition of technical progress and the unique freshness that makes the legendary FLENS enjoyment tangible for the ears as well.

Practically everything has been specially developed for the latest revision of the clip closure. For example the sealing material, the precisely formed locking heads and the special production process. The reward for the effort: A significantly increased plop' rate, a longer shelf life thanks to minimized gas exchange and, quite incidentally, a record-breakingly loud, even fresher plop' that saves the environment the waste of 150 million bottle caps every year.
