Staatl. Fachingen — Healing Water from the Lahn River since 1742
Some waters you drink. Some waters work. Staatl. Fachingen belongs to the second category.
The spring rises in Fachingen, a small town on the Lahn River in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The water ascends from a depth of 165 meters — after a long geological journey through rock layers that enrich it with an exceptional mineral content. Production has been continuous since 1742. For nearly three centuries, this water has been recognised for its beneficial effects on the body's acid-base balance.
The defining characteristic: a bicarbonate content of 1,854 mg/l. That is one of the highest values among Germany's officially recognised healing waters. Bicarbonate buffers acids in the body and stomach — which makes Staatl. Fachingen the classic companion for anyone attentive to their acid-base balance.
Even Johann Wolfgang von Goethe knew its value. He wrote in a letter in 1817: "I would like to be served with Fachingen water and white wine — one for the liberation of the mind, the other for invigoration."
Two variants are available: Still — mineral water without carbonation, allowing the minerals to unfold undisturbed. And Medium — with a delicate added carbonation for a refined drinking experience. The mineral composition is identical in both.
As a state-recognised healing water (Heilwasser), Staatl. Fachingen is subject to the strictest quality controls under German mineral water law. Sustainability and protection of the natural spring have been core commitments of the producer for generations.

A note on the pH value of 5.8: At first glance, this may sound acidic, but it is normal for medicinal waters with a high CO₂ content at the source—the CO₂ lowers the pH. The alkalizing effect in the body is caused by the bicarbonate, not by the water’s pH value itself.
