ABOUT INSPIRATION
Virgil's designs for evian are inspired by one of nature's most beautiful yet simple phenomena: the rainbow.
Regarding this concept, Virgil commented:
“The idea that a drop of water can create a rainbow served as the inspiration and metaphor for my first project as evian's creative consultant for sustainable innovation design.
When light breaks through this droplet, it reveals its full polychromatic potential. We don't just see water, we see endless possibilities and inspiration for everyone. Everyone."
ABOUT THE 2019 LIMITED EDITION
Continuing evian's long-standing collaboration with the fashion world, the forward-thinking creative places his design vision on the iconic limited edition limited glass bottle.
The 75ml bottle is adorned with perfectly formed water droplets in a range of eye-catching colours, continuing the One Drop Can a Rainbow concept.
The texclusive design will be available in limited quantities at select retail locations listed on the evian global website. In addition to Käfer in Munich and KADEWE, we are the only online retailers in Germany that carry and offer this edition.
ABOUT evian
Pure elegance, purity and an inimitable taste are characteristic of evian. The natural, still mineral water comes from the Cachat spring in Évian-les-Bains, a spa town in the French Alps. The spring is surrounded by a 70,000 hectare nature reserve and no external influences can falsify the purity of evian. Filtered through the rocks of the French Alps for 15 years, the low-sodium evian offers a naturally pure taste experience thanks to its balanced mineral content. It is the most drunk mineral water in the world.
ABOUT the vision
At the 2015 UN climate conference in Paris, evian set itself the goal of becoming CO2-neutral by 2017. An important milestone on this path was the conversion of the plant in Evian-les-Bains. From now on, the new plant will make an important contribution to the overriding goal of the brand.
The climate neutrality of the plant was achieved through a variety of interlocking measures, such as the commissioning of a biogas plant. The plant now obtains all of its own energy from this newly built facility.
The area of the modernized plant amounts to a total of 130,000 square meters. Among other things, ten new production lines and one of the largest private train stations in France are located on this site.
The Carbon Trust certifies that the plant is carbon neutral. By providing advice and controlling, the company helps other companies, governments and organizations to reduce their CO2 emissions and operate more resource-efficiently.
