LIZ comes from a unique private source that has long been owned by the Hinkel family, who have lived in Bad Vilbel for generations.

This special mineral water comes to the surface here in the Wetterau biosphere, which is rich in mineral water, a submerged crust of the earth between Vogelsberg and Taunus in the Tertiary period.

LIZ is a brand of Hassia Mineralquellen GmbH & Co. KG. The traditional family business is now successfully run by the fifth generation and can look back on more than 150 years of fountain history.

In 2010, LIZ received an award at the iF communication design award in the packaging design category, out of over 1,500 entries from 26 countries.
Also in 2010, the water was awarded the Top hotel Star Award in bronze by the specialist magazine "Top hotel". This makes the premium brand the best drink in the "Food & Beverage Concept" category!

In addition, LIZ took first place in the 2010 Water Innovation Awards for the most innovative packaging design.

In 2010, LIZ won the renowned reddot design award in the "packaging design" category.

In Austria, the 2015 H&D Award in the bottle design category went to LIZ.
