Selters classic is a carbonated mineral water that has been produced by the mineral spring Selters im Taunus for over 150 years. The mineral water is known and appreciated all over the world.

The village of Selters takes its name from the Celtic word for spring, Saltarissa. One of Europe's oldest brands, the naturally carbonated water was pioneered in being sold in stone jars until the spring largely dried up in the 19th century. In order to restore the fill, a 305 m long artesian well was drilled in 1896. This fountain was named Auguste Victoria after the German Empress of the same name. The stone jars of the past served as a model for today's remarkable blue bottle.

The history of the clay bottles from the mineral spring Selters goes back to the year 1820. At that time, the bottles were first produced by the pharmacist Carl Friedrich Naumann, who had taken over the mineral springs in Selters. The bottles were unique in their shape and, due to their robustness and longevity, became the trademark of the mineral spring Selters.

Selters classic is a naturally carbonated mineral water that comes from a deep spring near Selters an der Lahn. The water has a high mineral content and is rich in valuable minerals such as calcium, magnesium and potassium.
