EVIAN | Edition year Christian Lacroix 2008 First edition
Creative anniversary with Christian Lacroix 2017
To mark the tenth anniversary of the evian Limited Edition, evian and Christian Lacroix are collaborating again.
For the tenth time, evian and a world-famous fashion designer have joined forces to create an exclusive limited edition in the form of a specially designed glass bottle for evian. For this special anniversary, evian is once again bringing on board the designer with whom this unique fusion of fashion and the natural mineral water from the French Alps began: Christian Lacroix.
In 2007, the two brands shared a vision: combining the natural purity of natural mineral water with the creativity of fashion designers. This laid the foundation for collaborations between evian and numerous excellent designers.
To celebrate this success story, Christian Lacroix has reinvented the Paseo pattern as a tribute to the live young spirit of evian. The delicate embroidery design, which is actually mainly found in haute couture, was used for the first time outside of the Christian Lacroix fashion collection in 2008 on the first limited edition glass bottle of evian. It is an unmistakable part of Christian Lacroix's design.
The Maison Christian Lacroix has reinterpreted the characteristic Paseo design exclusively for evian in accordance with the brand's "Live Young" philosophy - with a playful color gradient in pink and blue. The fresh colors are intended to symbolize the pure elegance and purity of evian. Blue stands for the morning sky and pink for the special moment when day and night meet.
The new, colorful Paseo Limited Edition is the pure expression of the Christian Lacroix universe: Paris, extravagance and an ever-youthful spirit.
Other well-known fashion houses such as Kenzo, Elie Saab, Diane von Fürstenberg, Alexander Wang, Jean Paul Gaultier, Paul Smith and Courrèges have already designed limited special editions in recent years and made the most exquisite mineral water in the world a sought-after collector's item.
“The collaboration between evian and Christian Lacroix is like a dream come true – and we had the opportunity to work together twice, which makes me a very happy designer,” Sacha Walckhoff, Creative Director of Christian Lacroix.
ABOUT evian
Pure elegance, purity and an inimitable taste are characteristic of Evian. The natural, Still mineral water comes from the Cachat spring in Évian-les-Bains, a spa town in the French Alps. The spring is surrounded by a 70,000 hectare nature reserve and no external influences can distort the purity of Evian. Filtered for 15 years through the rocks of the French Alps, the low-sodium Evian offers a naturally pure taste experience thanks to its balanced mineralization. It is the most widely consumed mineral water in the world.
ABOUT the vision
As part of the 2015 UN Climate Change Conference in Paris, Evian set itself the goal of becoming CO2 neutral by 2017. An important milestone on this path was the conversion of the plant in Evian-les-Bains. The new plant is therefore now making an important contribution to the brand's overarching goal.
The plant's climate neutrality was achieved through a variety of interlocking measures, such as the commissioning of a biogas plant. The plant now obtains all of its own energy from this newly built plant.
The modernized plant covers a total area of 130,000 square meters. This site includes ten new production lines and one of the largest private train stations in France.
The plant's carbon neutrality is certified by the Carbon Trust. The company helps other companies, governments and organizations to reduce their carbon emissions and operate in a more resource-efficient manner through consulting and controlling.
The bottle available here is from 2008, the first edition. We only have a very limited number of these bottles left.
