EVIAN | Edition vintage Issey Miyake 2011

After Christian Lacroix, Jean Paul Gaultier and Paul Smith, the Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake has now dedicated himself to the theme of water and created the new Limited Design Edition 2011 for the water brand.

Miyake's fashion collections are known for their use of flowing pleated fabrics and playful details. For Evian, the fashion designer turned the water bottles with a pink flower into a "design object". A few bottles are also available with a green flower. Unfortunately not available from us...

Miyake also brings his outstanding talent for shapes and colors to the fore in the design of the evian Limited Edition 2011 - an interplay of lightness and unique design. For evian, the fashion designer, often called the "master of water", combines his straightforward and exceptionally carefree style with the freshness and purity of the famous French mineral water. An imaginative flower turns the bottle into a design object and transforms every table into a lively and colorful flower meadow. Live young - evian's slogan and motto - is perfectly underlined by the symbiosis of cheerful design and naturally pure mineral water.

The design is always extraordinary, and the water is no different than in conventional bottles.

ABOUT Issey Miyake

Issey Miyake was born on April 22, 1938 in Hiroshima, Japan and is considered one of the most sought-after Japanese fashion designers today. He is known for his exceptionally cheerful style. Miyake studied graphic design in Tokyo. After graduating in 1964, he left Japan to work in Paris and New York. In 1970, he founded the Miyake Design Studio. One year later, his fashion label's first collection appeared, which he presented in New York. Miyake's fashion is characterized by colorful silk fabrics and feather-light polyester materials, handcrafted details, and technical innovations in the areas of fabric development, processing, and recycling. Miyake allows people creative freedom when wearing his creations, for example when they can be draped on the body according to their taste. Issey Miyake fashion is in the top price segment. He has also created timeless cult fragrances.

ABOUT evian

Pure elegance, purity and an inimitable taste are characteristic of Evian. The natural, still mineral water comes from the Cachat spring in Évian-les-Bains, a spa town in the French Alps. The spring is surrounded by a 70,000 hectare nature reserve and no external influences can distort the purity of Evian. Filtered through the rocks of the French Alps for 15 years, the low-sodium Evian offers a naturally pure taste experience thanks to its balanced mineralization. It is the most widely consumed mineral water in the world. The French brand is now part of the Danone Group. In Germany it is distributed by Danone Waters.
