Let's start with his equally outstanding story.

The Hallstein spring in the Dachstein mountains near Obertraun was not easily found, as one would expect from a spring. So it was by no means the case that a thirsty hiker would have taken a drink from a mountain stream and thus found the best spring in the world. No. The source was not easily found. She was wanted, worldwide.

One day, the father of the Muhr family, who lives in New York, decided that, for health reasons, juices and lemonades would be completely dispensed with immediately - much to the chagrin of the 3 children. But this decision gave rise to the desire to have the best water in the world, and researched together for weeks and months, doctors and scientists were brought on board to first define what the perfect water on planet Earth must be like, which criteria it has to fulfill.

When that happened and the 8 core parameters were defined, thousands of drinking waters available worldwide were actually tested over the last 16 years, analyzed and found nothing.

So geologists and hydrologists were sent around the world to find a structure in which the water they were looking for could be formed. After years of research, research and studies, the right mountain massif with an ironic nature was found in the family's country of origin in Austria. They drilled into the aquifer and the artesian source, which had been dormant until then, came to light and a fountain shot meters high out of the ground for two days until the head could be closed. Hallstein was born.

So what are the core parameters that make this water unique in the world?

It is the only water in the world that bubbles up without help, i.e. artesian, and is bottled without filtration or any treatment at a withdrawal temperature of 5.6°C. It has a TDS of just 84ml/L, and a slightly alkaline pH of 8.3 and the body's perfect 2:1 calcium/magnesium balance. Hardly any nitrates, hardly any sodium, almost zero organic carbon and, on the other hand, a high content of naturally bound oxygen. All perfected by Mother Nature.

The source in Obertraun at the foot of the Dachstein Mountains is located in a geological limestone and glacier structure that is unique in the world at a depth of 215 meters. The water is required. Approx. 8-10 years until it makes its way as a drop of water over the Salzkammergut through the rock to the untouched spring and receives its unique properties on this journey.

The Water:
The water itself tastes wonderfully light and smooth, yet full of body and elegance. With every further sip, the mouth feel becomes more and more friendly with the Hallstein water and it becomes love at first sip. Once drunk you can hardly resist its spell. In contrast to other slightly to little mineralized waters, it tastes neither empty nor boring but has its own unobtrusive character, a clear freshness and clarity. The still water is formally the best companion, but above all it becomes part of the experience itself. It doesn't really matter whether it's enjoyed with wine at a dinner or tasted with a spirit. At every point, even when drinking it every day, Hallstein unfolds an independence like hardly any other water. Its naturally high pH value ensures a barely perceptible and therefore very exclusive smooth sweetness.
