The fine dining range is aqui-live . Both the silent and the bubbly variant proudly bear a gold medal of FINE WATER SOCIETY on the label. The classic long neck mineral water bottle is an eye-catcher with a minimalist label design reminiscent of the long, enriching journey from an old aquifer to the surface of the earth. The ideal accompaniment in any gastronomic environment.
The history:
The story begins in 2012 on a small plot of land on Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula, 85 kilometers south of Melbourne. The area is populated with boutique wineries that produce recognized, cool climate wines from grapes grown on the red, mineral-rich soil for which the area is named.
The previous owner of the property simply used the overgrown spring discharge for irrigation without ever realizing what kind of treasure he was actually dealing with.
A friend of the Lyche family (the current operators of the spring) tasted the water and suggested sending in a sample for testing because of the rich minerality and the incredibly soft mouthfeel. The first result was more than encouraging. A number of other tests showed an excellent mineral balance and an incredible purity that can compete with any known mineral water in the world.
The aqui-live water comes from the Paleolithic, a prehistoric aquifer about 900 meters below the Mornington Peninsula near Melbourne, Australia.
It is further believed to be 600 million years old and draw its water from New Zealand, where rain seeps into the ground and drips through tectonic plates to fill the aquifer.
Incredibly, it takes the water at least 2,000 years to force its way through Red Hill soil.
The source:
aqui-live is no ordinary mineral water. Loaded with minerals and naturally purer many times over than other well-known mineral water brands, experts in fine water consider it to be absolutely unique.
Hydrologists estimate the age at 600 million years and believe that the water came from New Zealand, where it fell as rain.
aqui-live is a real artesian water and rises naturally to the surface without drilling. It takes about 2000 years to complete this ascent through mineral-rich soils and rocks.
During this epic journey - free from human interference and protected from daylight - minerals from the geo layers accumulate in aqui-live , giving it a unique, silky mouthfeel and a bold, unforgettable and unmistakable taste.
