HALLSTEIN ARTESIAN WATER
A gift of nature
HALLSTEIN
Mineral water is probably the most extraordinary water on planet earth, because it has characteristics like no other.
The Story:
Let's start with its equally outstanding history.
The HALLSTEIN spring in the Dachstein mountains near Obertraun was not simply found as one would expect a spring to be. It was by no means the case that a thirsty hiker took a sip from a mountain stream and found the best spring in the world. No. The spring was not simply found. It was sought, worldwide.
One day the father of the Muhr family, who live in New York, decided that from now on, for health reasons, they would do without juices and lemonades completely - much to the chagrin of the 3 children. But from this decision arose the desire to have the best water in the world and together they researched for weeks and months, they brought doctors and scientists on board to first define what the perfect water of planet earth would have to be like, what criteria it would have to meet.
When this was done and the 8 core parameters were defined, thousands of drinking waters available worldwide were tested over the last 16 years, analysed and nothing was found.
So they sent geologists and hydrologists around the globe to find a structure in which the water they were looking for could be formed. After years of research and study, the right mountain range was ironically found in the family's country of origin, Austria. They drilled into the aquifer and the artesian spring, which had been lying dormant until then, came to light and a fountain shot up from the ground for two days until the head could be sealed. HALLSTEIN was born.
Core Parameters:
So what are the core parameters that make this water unique in the world?
It is the only water in the world that bubbles up unaided, i.e. artesian, and is bottled at a withdrawal temperature of 5.6°C without filtration or any treatment. It has a TDS of just 84ml/L, and a slightly alkaline Ph value of 8.3 and the perfect balance of calcium/magnesium ratio of 2:1 for the body. Hardly any nitrates, hardly any sodium, almost zero organic carbons and on the other hand a high content of naturally bound oxygen. All perfected by Mother Nature.
The Source:
The source in Obertraun at the foot of the Dachstein mountains is located in a geological limestone and glacier structure that is unique in the world at a depth of 215 metres. approx. 8-10 years until it makes its way as a drop of water above the Salzkammergut through the rock to the pristine spring and on this journey acquires its unique properties.
The Water:
The water itself tastes wonderfully light and smooth, yet full of body and elegance. With each successive sip, the mouthfeel becomes more and more friendly with the HALLSTEIN water and it becomes love at first sip. Once drunk, its spell is hard to resist. Unlike other light to low mineralized waters, it tastes neither empty nor boring but has its own unobtrusive character, a distinct freshness and clarity. The still water is formally the best companion, but above all it becomes part of the experience itself. It doesn't really matter whether enjoyed with wine at dinner or tasted with a spirit. At every point, even during daily drinking, HALLSTEIN unfolds an independence like hardly any other water. Its naturally high Ph value provides a barely perceptible and therefore very exclusive smooth sweetness.
The spring is operated in an ecologically and consciously sustainable manner and accordingly does not have too large an output in order to guarantee the pouring in the future.
Design & more:
Purist clear design in 100% recycled glass bottles works da company completely sustainable and co2-neutral.
