The source of SPEYSIDE GLENLIVET is in Greater Speyside, Scotland. Wonderful landscapes, hills covered with heather, wildlife and silence.
SPEYSIDE GLENLIVET is one of the world's largest whiskey producing regions and home to many of Scotland's most famous distilleries, at the heart of which is the small world famous village of Glenlivet. The world's first whiskey distillery was founded here over two hundred years ago.
The Scots know the water is great for adding their touch to many of the Scottish whiskeys. If you're a scotch connoisseur, you know this too.
The Slochd Spring is at 1,520 feet and rises from a 500 million year old rock formation called the Braes of Glenlivet. The natural pH is 7.7, a slightly alkaline level preferred by many because it provides a slightly sweet aftertaste. The total amount of dissolved solids is only 58 milligrams per liter. Speyside is pure and light.
In addition to its composition, the very mineral-poor water also stands out for its simple but elegant bottle shape. The water has been produced since 1991.
The still version of this slightly alkaline, low TDS water goes perfectly with a single malt whiskey.
Demanding and yet restrained, the design of the bottles now more than ever reflects the exclusivity of one of the best mineral waters and the facilities in which it is served.
Like any fine product, SPEYSIDE GLENLIVET the right service. It should be cooled between 12 and 15 degrees Celsius.
On behalf of the British Bottler's Institute, quality and innovation are honored among global beverage manufacturers in the annual competition.
SPEYSIDE GLENLIVET won the prestigious gold award in 2013, while the brand was also awarded the silver medal for the quality and design of its packaging.
