antipodes - a water of the best category: elegant. Rare. characteristic.
The water par excellence from New Zealand, it is bottled in one of the least populated areas of New Zealand, and thus also the world.
The spring is located near Whakatane in the Bay of Plenty on the North Island, surrounded by hills, rivers, forests and lakes.
There is hardly any commercial or industrial activity there and the population density remains extremely low. This is very rare in the world of water extraction and bottling.
At a depth of 327 m, far below the surface of the earth, is the natural spring, an artesian aquifer made of ignimbrite rock rich in pebbles. The deepest water source in New Zealand lets its water bubble naturally to the surface, under enormous geological pressure. The age of the water when it is bottled is between 50 and 300 years.
Artesian means here that the water reaches the surface of the earth all by itself without a pump and so there is in fact no mechanical pollution, not even from a pump system.
ANTIPODES is exceptionally pure and only requires simple microfiltration before filling. No sterilization, no additives, no industrial cleaning and processing. The filling system is state-of-the-art and the in-house quality tests are strict.
At just 130 milligrams per liter, its minerality is remarkably low compared to many other waters. With much of this light minerality from silica, antipodes offers an almost imperceptible taste and a smooth, silky texture on the palate. The pH value is neutral at 7.0.
The water was awarded the gold medal for quality, style, aroma, taste and aftertaste as the best mineral water at the "Berkeley Spring Winter Festival of Water" in 2006.
At the "taste awards" of the international " FINE WATER SOCIETY " the luxury water was awarded gold and bronze in 2016 and 2017 in Guangzhou.
Since New Zealand is considered pure and untouched anyway, as it is far from any industrial mega-civilization, one can say that this product is pure, plump nature in bottles ... and this is also what the still designer water looks like. A real eye-catcher at the table, because the bottle design itself is based on the traditional New Zealand beer bottle, a little trick.
