EVIAN | Courreges edition 2012
André Courrèges, another cult designer from France, was able to be won over for the 2012 Limited Edition. As an in-label label of the 1960s, Courrèges revolutionized women's fashion by introducing the mini into Parisian haute couture. The “ evian ” special edition 2012 is adorned with an elegant decor of white and pink flowers - a pattern typical of Courrèges, which also adorns the premium mineral water excellently.
With a combination of white and pink fluorescent flowers, it attracts everyone's attention. The classic evian glass bottle for 2012 was designed by courrèges. The French fashion label is taking on the legacy of fashion greats such as Christian Lacroix, Jean Paul Gaultier, Paul Smith and Issey Miyake, the creators of previous design editions. For the 5th time, evian a limited design bottle onto the market in cooperation with a well-known designer.
The brands courrèges and evian a very similar philosophy: age is a question of the attitude towards life and a youthful mindset paired with optimism are the most important ingredients for a happy life. Label founder André Courrèges is pursuing a major goal with his creations: "Every woman who immerses himself in the world of courrèges should immediately be swept over by a wave of optimism." The style of the haute couture icon was particularly popular in the 1960s avant-garde. His designs were influenced by modern architecture and space travel. Constructed cuts, unusual materials and geometric shapes are characteristic of his unconventional “hard chic”. The emblem-like flowers, which can also be seen on the new design bottle from October, were already part of various collections in Courrège's early days. His creations are intended to encourage people to break fixed conventions - in keeping with the evian “live young” slogan, with which the most popular mineral water brand in the world calls for a youthful way of thinking and living.
Courrèges also stayed true to his principle when designing the new evian bottle - the result is a gaudy eye-catcher. A futuristic flower motif in the typical courrèges style adorns the new design bottle. Absolute eye-catcher: the lettering and one of the flowers are in fluorescent "organic pink" so that they form a strong contrast to the other flowers in "mineral white". The clean lines of the decor reflect the purity and clarity of the famous French mineral water. Thanks to the cooperation with courrèges, the cult brand evian 5Q5I8 succeeds in @5Q5I8 a symbiosis between modern, young design and naturally pure water.
The edition is limited.
André Courrèges was born on March 9, 1923 in Pau, France and became particularly well known in the 1960s for his futuristic designs and his “hard chic”. After studying civil engineering and bridge construction, he moved to Paris at the age of 25. There he worked for the Spanish designer Balenciaga, to whom he assisted for eleven years. In 1961 he opened his own studio with his future wife. With his fashion, Courrèges wanted women to be more youthful and positively change their lives. So he managed to make the hitherto frowned upon miniskirt - designed by Londoner Mary Quant - socially acceptable and brought it to the catwalks of haute couture.
Pure elegance, purity and an inimitable taste are characteristic of evian . The natural, still mineral water comes from the Cachat spring in Évian-les-Bains, a spa in the French Alps. The spring is surrounded by a 70,000 hectare nature reserve and no external influences can falsify evian's purity. Filtered through the rock of the French Alps for 15 years, the low-sodium evian offers a naturally pure taste @6O5C0 thanks to its balanced mineralization. It is the most popular mineral water in the world.
