EVIAN | Edition year Diane von Fürstenberg 2013--
EVIAN | Edition year Diane von Fürstenberg 2013
Evian designer editions have been launched regularly since the 1992 Olympic Games. Each year, a different fashion designer designs the Evian bottle of the year. This time the American designer Diane von Fürstenberg has the pleasure. After Christian Lacroix, Jean Paul Gaultier, Paul Smith, Issey Miyake and André Courrèges were allowed to design the bottle.
The message has always remained the same: "Youth is not a question of age, it's a question of attitude." Who would be better suited than Diane von Fürstenberg, who remained a child. DvF's motto is "Love is Life" and that's exactly what she transferred to the bottle. The handwritten mantra "Water is life is love is life is water is..." can be read on the DvF Design Edition. Including the obligatory Heart DvF logo.
Love is Life, the motto of Diane von Fürstenberg
With the decision for Diane von Fürstenberg, Evian creates two innovations: DvF is the first woman to design an annual bottle and also the first American. Another innovation is the cap: instead of a crown cap, as in the previous collections, the 2013 bottle has a screw cap. DvF was enthusiastic about this offer "because I've always loved the evian brand. For me, drinking water is one of the most important things we can do to love ourselves. Love is life. For me, it's about life to the fullest and I am very proud to be working with evian to spread this important message around the world."
"Water is life is love is life is water is..."
Diane von Fürstenberg's first appearance in the fashion world was in 1972. Just two years later she designed the legendary wrap dress. With the new edition of the wrap dress in 1974, she made her breakthrough. Today, the luxury and lifestyle brand DvF is one of the most respected and renowned in the world. This earned her the presidency of the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Fürstenberg is also involved inside and outside the fashion world. In 2010 she founded the DvF Award, which honors women in management positions for their courage and strength. She was also a co-creator of the Design Piracy Prohibition Act, which protects designers from attempts at plagiarism.
Pure elegance, purity and an inimitable taste are characteristic of evian. The natural, still mineral water comes from the Cachat spring in Évian-les-Bains, a spa town in the French Alps. The spring is surrounded by a 70,000 hectare nature reserve and no external influences can falsify the purity of evian. Filtered through the rocks of the French Alps for 15 years, the low-sodium evian offers a naturally pure taste experience thanks to its balanced mineral content. It is the most drunk mineral water in the world.
Limited Edition, bottled from the Carat source in Evian-les-Bains.
